A recipe for Vanilla and almond biscuits
This delicious European biscuit recipe is perfect for a rainy afternoon when you can enjoy them with a cup of tea.
To make them you need:
- 175 grams of soft butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 70 grams ground almonds
- 270 grams flour
- 50 grams sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Mix all ingredients in a bowl to create smooth dough. Place the dough in the fridge for approx. 20 minutes. Preheat your fan forced oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit). Take the dough out of the fridge and start forming horseshoe like biscuits. Place them on a greased or lined baking tray and bake for approx. 10-14 minutes..
To make the biscuits look pretty you can also roll them in some icing sugar after baking.
